Print Quality

Images in the website galleries are processed at low resolutions to guarantee compatibility with most computer monitors. The file sizes are kept small intentionally to improve the time required to load a page. Gallery images are typically processed at 72 ppi (pixels per inch) with dimensions that either constrain the image width to 700 - 800 pixels and the image height to 600 pixels - whichever comes first. The typical file size for gallery images is less than 200 KB. Images used for fine art prints, on the other hand, are processed at very high resolutions of 300 ppi or higher, with an image width approaching 5200 pixels and an image height approaching 3500 pixels. The typical file size for print images frequently exceeds 12 - 16 MB. While the images on the screen are pleasing, the corresponding printed images are stunning, with vibrant colors and vivid detail.

Copyright watermarks are removed from the fine art prints. Signed copies are available, if requested.

High quality digital images as well as several prints sizes are available. If you're not sure which print option best meets your needs, please contact me and we'll work through it together.

The coating is available in a choice of Matte, Satin, or Gloss surfaces. Edge Options include Wrap Around, Mirrored Edges, Colored Edges, and Wrap for Framing.

Colorplak ColorBox Mounting

Colorplak ColorBox mounted prints are dry mounted onto a 3/8" MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and then pressurized and heat-sealed with a UV protective laminate. The MDF mounted print is then set on a 1" box frame. The mounted print and box frame are joined and sanded to create a seamless beveled edge. The beveled edges have a matte black finish and the print goes to the very edge of the mount. ColorBox mounted prints come ready to hang and are very easy to maintain.

Acrylic Face Mounts

Acrylic Face mounts produce exhibition quality presentations.  The face mounted photographs have a vibrance and depth without equal. The face of the print is mounted to a crystal clear acrylic sheet and backed with a white dibond backer. An aluminium subframe is used to float the print from the wall.
